  2. Wasp will convert any GIF or IFF file to an IFF file.  It will convert
  3. from many, many input file formats like GIF, IFF, Sun, SHAM, 24-bit etc.
  4. to a wide variety of output formats including Lores, Hires, EHB, HAM,
  5. SHAM, Dyna-HAM, 24-bit RGB, and SRGR.  Its conversions are excellent
  6. and exceed every other IFF/GIF converter I've tried, ie: tad, 
  7. gifmachine, supercon, pbmplus, GIFtoIFF, etc. and it's FAST!

  10. FOR DYNAMIC-HIRES CONVERSIONS:

  12.     I just wanted to add this note for those people who wish to make
  13. Dynamic-Hires pictures with wasp.  I have found that Dyna-Show v1.4
  14. will not show a picture unless it is 640 x 400.  I therefore recommend
  15. that any image you convert with wasp be scaled from its original
  16. size to 640 x 400 with wasp's operations

  18.     -x 640/a -y 400/b
  19.  
  20. where a and b are the resolution of the original file (eg. a x b).

  22.     I am not the author, but since this is not mentioned in the docs.
  23. and is just a peculiarity of Dyna-Show, I would include it in this file.
